Coronado Playhouse Receives Generous Grant from Supervisor Greg Cox
SAN DIEGO - Supervisor Greg Cox, who represents South San Diego County including the City of Coronado on the County Board of Supervisors, has recommended the allocation of $15,740 in grant funding for the Coronado Playhouse. The funds will assist the community theatre with purchasing needed theatre, sound, lighting and computer equipment and supplies.
“It is always a joy to support community organizations that add to the arts and culture of our region,” said Supervisor Greg Cox. “The Coronado Playhouse is a jewel in the crown city and I am pleased to help it shine with more enjoyable and educational performances.”
The Board of Supervisors today unanimously approved the grant that will assist the 60+ year old community theatre to continue producing popular, affordable family entertainment in Coronado.
Supervisor Greg Cox has supported a number of community organizations through his office’s Community Project grant program which makes one-time grant funding available to nonprofit organizations for capital needs.
