In a show of support for the men and women of the San Diego County Sheriff’s
Department, Supervisor Greg Cox recently allocated $25,000 to complete
interactive displays at the Sheriff’s Museum through the County’s Community
Project Fund for one time capital projects.
“Through this funding I hope to show my appreciation and pride in all the
hard working deputies who serve the people of San Diego County,” said Supervisor
Greg Cox. “Despite the dark financial cloud looming over the County from the
State’s $24 billion deficit, I was able to identify this one time funding to
help complete the Sheriff’s Museum displays.”
Founded in 1850, the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department has a rich and
colorful history. County residents now have the opportunity to immerse
themselves in the history of law enforcement in the region through the
interactive displays at the Sheriff’s Museum in Old Town.
