East Otay Mesa is the 3,300 acre area located in the southwestern portion of San Diego County, immediately adjacent to the U.S./Mexico border. The site is located between the Otay River Valley to the north, the international border with Mexico to the south, the San Ysidro Mountains to the east, and the community of Otay Mesa in the City of San Diego to the west.
East Otay Mesa is relatively flat land located on the U.S./Mexico border making it a prime location for industrial development. Supervisor Greg Cox and other community leaders are working to establish a high technology business park in East Otay Mesa.
